They said someone will come to look at the heating at around lunch time, but really, unless the guy has a magic wand (or is cool like Raito), or the problem is minor, I don't think anyone can just, you know, fix central heating in an afternoon. (usually they say "oh, some parts need replacing, I'll need to go get the parts" or "oh, I don't have the right equipment to do this", blah blah...)
When it was really really cold before christmas, my department's heating died. For a week. And then they fixed it and decided to put it on really high, so everyone overheated. On average, the place was the exact right temperature for those two weeks. *sigh*
I have to go in there soon. I hear they are building things again for no good reason. I think what they really do is just get a pneumatic drill and leave it running outside the main lecture theatre for kicks.
