Oh, please tell me I don't want to write the Pairing of Doom *headdesk*

There are enough people to do Tenipuri Secret Santa! *YAY* Will start arranging it tonight, after going to the gym - sis has a guest coupon and I feel like working myself to death.

My university certificate has arrived. It needs to be framed! :D It's only a year late >_>

How typical. Whilst I understand where the council stands, it's just so typical of people to issue orders / tell people to stop but otherwise offer no solution or alternatives. It would have been so much wiser to have come up with a solution before they send the letter out, thus avoiding all the troubles. But people are just like that, everywhere you go, on all things big and small.

Last night there was a show on TV called "Space Cadets". My sister watched it and told me what it's all about. She seemed to have found it absolutely hilarious, but all I could say was "I can't stand people who play with other people's dreams." It's wrong, even if the first person to crack the thing gets money for it. It's just plain wrong and I'm disgusted.

In other news, stupidity should be outlawed, stupid people thrown into jail. It's all okay if you've tried hard, but if you're stupid because you *choose* to be naive and ignorant, well there is no room for you in this world, please get out.

How LOW can a tv show get?! Unbelievable.

[identity profile] yuki-scorpio.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The *idea* of it was probably brilliant, but when you involve real people into it... it's just.... ~_~""""

[identity profile] chinawolf.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No, even the idea seems sneaky and evil to me. Pffffft on the producers.

[identity profile] yuki-scorpio.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I think if they used the idea to make a film about how some people got tricked into thinking they're in space when all they're doing is flying about UK in circles, it'd make an excellent comedy XDDD

It's a statutory process, heavily weighted in favour of the person making the noise because of the length of time it takes. The council issue a letter as a first step if a resident complains about noise; the resident then has to keep a 6 week noise diary (not much comfort if you're being kept awake by some drug addled teenager's stereo at 3am). There is encouragement to pursue resolution informally - eg taking up the suggestion of quieter pipes which can be used indoors. The only thing that really struck me was, why was the kid was practising outside? Because his mother didn't want the noise inside maybe?

I see... but, something's still totally wrong about this. ~_~

Pairing of Doom? *has a few of those*

Yeah, I think I'm kind of with you on the TV show. Though a small and dirty party of me watched and totally loved the WB's 'Superstar' a while back, which is sort of American Idol in reverse.

[identity profile] yuki-scorpio.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Tezuka/Eiji. >_<

American Idol in reverse...? x_o

...okay, that one is hard.

Basically where they auditioned singers and got the really bad ones (but told them they were all good) and went through the whole process.

[identity profile] yuki-scorpio.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I've done it before -_-

It must be one of those days ~_~

OUCH. NOOOO~

*pets you with love* It very well may be. Though it's turning out well here. Except Yamato is being mean to Sakuno, oh noes~!

...I'm awful in that I found the show hilarious? Especially the girl who wrote the lyrics to songs on her hand and was repeatedly complimented on her singing because she 'had great boobs'. XD

[identity profile] yamete-yamato.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
*logged in as teh horrible Yamato* Oh she doesn't know what DT is? XDDD

There is a difference though - the show I mentioned had the people totally fooled by staging the entire thing, whereas the people in the show you mentioned should know better. They have friends and family and they have ears to listen to themselves... XD

[identity profile] shiroibara.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
She doesn't know her right from her left most days, so, yes. XD

To a point, yes, but if you've watched the AI auditions, the people who can't sing never believe they can't. And this was staged in such a way that these people thought they were legitimately in a singing contest. Live audience and all. XD

[identity profile] yamete-yamato.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I've always wondered why those people went to the auditions in the first place... did nobody ever tell them that they can't sing?

[identity profile] tokkitsu.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh geez, to purposely fool someone like that, just for laughs, that's just horrible. :/

I don't like it either. It's nasty. I can't stand things like that.
