Trying to watch FF:AC.... what do I need to get the subtitles to work?

*cheated and got the DVD version with subs that I can play in my DVD player* But I think you should be able to right click on it and point it to the subtitle file.

Get BSPlayer, move the subs to the same folder as the movie file, and it should work. If not, try downloading VobSub (I think?).

If you need a copy of it with subtitles already hardcoded into video, poke me. It's not as shiny as having a clean file, but avoids subtitles file headaches. :3

Hmmm it was alright? Felt a bit weird that because they kept the faces quite game-like (as in, rounded faces, no skin texture) whilst they rendered all that steel and leather and fabric. Made it look all weird >_> Didn't play FF7 which didn't help, but wasn't too bad overall.

And I just realised that my now-short hair can be gelled like Reno's (without the pony tail, of course..._

Try installing Vob Sub?
