Video

Why oh why?

I've got the Hyoutei video, but I can't play it.

WMP. Media Player Classic, DivX, and Winamp all give me "This program has encountered and error and needs to close".

Doesn't look like a codec problem does it?

If I can't play the video, how can I worship Ore-sama Atobe? T_T

15.3MB... Pyrochan sent it to me, and it's the first video I got from her that I can't play on my comp :(

Res is bad...

But it plays... without any glitch.

Again... Do you RUN any codecs?

If you do... GET THEM OFF...

Then just install FFDSHOW (that's what I did, last summer, to be able to get Shounen-Ai's version of DN Angel) and I've NOT encountered an .avi file I can't play... even though fansubbers keep on changing their codecs.

JUST DON'T INSTALL codec packs. They are EVIL.

BTW... I played it with my regular WMP 9.0 (on my WinXP home ed).

You have DivX installed?

*uninstalls a whole load of things and gets a new version of ffdshow*

Thank you!!!! I can play the file now! .... but only a still image >_< but at least I can hear the song... now I just need to get the "video" bit to work -_-"

If you want to try something *I* haven't but AnimeSuki raves about, go here:

According to them, it plays EVERYTHING, even .MKV...

But you better read the whole thing first... I'm too lazy to install it right now since I don't run .mkv files. If that day comes, I'll probably go that way ^_^
