Well. The instruction tells me to plug the broadband modem to the router, which is a problem because I don't use an external modem. I just plug that thing from the phoneline into the back of my computer.

So I try to find a cable that goes out from my computer that can go into the router instead, but the light doesn't come on.

...... -_-

With me, it was:

= unplug cable from computer, plug into router.
= plug router cable that came with the router into the computer where I just unplugged the other cable.

Of course, your situation is a lot more tricky - ask at the router website? Routers who dare to say the are plug and play should be kicked hard.

Yeah I can't unplug the one from the comp and plug into the router - it's a different sized cable -_-

Went and posted on a networking site, hope someone will be able to help me...

you might need a converter thing. sounds like phoneline = phone cable? and router needs network cable.

hope this works out :3

I just realised what the problem is...... I bought the wrong thing. Well, in theory I could add a modem and it should work but... I'll sell this one and get the right thing instead *sigh*

Umm... I have an rather old and unused external modem, if you want to nick it and see if it works better. :x *has no idea about such things, but just a thought*
