Comp help

External DVD writers - any recommendation? I want to buy an external one because both me and my sis can use it then ^^ and does it really matter if I get one that is +, or -, or both? It'll mostly be burning discs for my own use.

+ tend to burn faster. However, I don't know how readily you have what format of discs available for purchase. I would get a + or one that does both, simply because I think the format will go + or some new standard eventually.

Once it is burned and finalized, though, it's just a DVD. + and - don't matter at that point, I believe.

It's really worth it. I have DVD writers in both my desktops and it's SO worth it. *must finish burning stuff for you and go pick up The Item for your box*

Most writers seem to be both now - better safe than sorry, I figure.

I bought this one a while back and it's been great. ^_^

I would go with one which can do all formats, simply because that means whatever DVD is in vogue just now, you can always buy the cheapest!

I have 2 DVD burners. Both burn EVERYTHING under the sun... +, -, Ram, double layer, you name it, it does it...

And it was still very cheap... and you can buy whatever's on sale ^_^
