Yet another WTF moment

Watching Tactics. Been downloading subs by Spoon & Shinsen, but I think from ep6 onwards I've downloaded from another group.

What the hell? HUGE font size that covers half of the screen!

Renamed the files so can't see which group it was. Must go back to my main comp to check. But this is just...

Oh yes, and... *waves Kantarou/Haruka OTP flag*

RoD helter skelter will be on for another half an hour. grrrrrrrrrrrr

AnimeYuki (or AnY ?) or something used to do them...

They were making me die... there was one episode where the sub was so tiny, you needed a magnifiying glass... then the next episode, you could read it from the moon...

Shows what happens when a title is licensed BEFORE it's even released in Japan... most "professional" groups don't touch it and therefore the quality of what one can expect from fly-by-nights or less competent groups can be abyssmal.

Tactics. <333 Yeah, Animeyuki used to do them, though they were ridiculously slow. ~__~ And the subs were just... annoying.

Was Tactics licensed? I thought only the manga was. O__o

Tactics was announced by ADV in the summer of 2004...

Or it only started in the fall in Japan... so yes, pre-licensed... which explains why the subs were iffy at best AND they were never posted at AnimeSuki.

Ah. That would explain it. Except Shinsen is doing them still, so I never realized. XP

Any group who started on Tactics were doing it EVEN knowing the title was licensed.

Shinsen has done licensed titles before (FMA, for example)...

The best way to know if a title is licensed or not is to check AnimeSuki. If the fansubs are not listed there? Licensed (or a Media Factory product = not showing at AnimeSuki since the whole MF fiasco a while back).

I see, I see. :O Is Samurai Champloo licensed too then? It's not there, though I always wondered whether that was because there were no torrents for it or something.

No... same thing. It was pre-licensed...
