Downloaded packs of video, and inside there are .mkv, .md5 and .sfv files. Don't have the slightest idea what to do. Checked anime-suki forums and tried to install the things like they say, but nothing's happening... what to do? What do I need to install, really? ~_~

mkv...you need a plugin and just use stuff like media player classic to play
forgot what md5 is, sfv is just a verification file, ignore it

If you are running XP, you should not have any problems with Windows Media Player classic.

The problem might be with codec packs you've installed before (some of them being evil).

I don't run Matrovka files (however it's spelled) because I'm pissed at having to install another type of codecs so presently I only watch AVI or OGM files...

But if you want to try to get your system to work, runs to ZX site (they're rippers and they moved to MKV) as they have all the info:

~_~ Still having problems. Starting the programme is fine, but when I try to play something (avi, mkv...), my Windows XP says it has encountered an error *sigh*

Uninstalling some of the codec now... hope it'll work eventually. Actually I realised that I can still watch all my avi's without some of the codec. Wonder what they were doing there in the first place ^^"
