(Funny how one can be talking to HA directly on the phone about stuff and they say oh btw! Watch out for possible snow storm tomorrow, you may have difficulties getting to work)
Highways Agency website (http://www.highways.gov.uk/) gives good updates on current road conditions. If in doubt, check and/or make phonecall before you travel, particularly tomorrow because the worst weather is expected then.

In the event of really severe weather, I think I'm supposed to phone my team at home and instruct them to report to the nearest Government office if they can't get here!
