Stupid dry weather flow and partially full pipes

Gone to college library today to find books that will tell me how to do my pipe network design coursework.

Me: *hmmmmmm* Okay so you look at this graph and it'll tell you if there's enough velocity when the pipe's partially full... *hmmmm* Okay I need to look at Qp = 0.0085... WTF?!?!

Said graph is about 7cm wide, x-axis from 0 to 1.2. HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK UP 0.0085 IN SUCH A TEENY GRAPH?!?!

Me: *grrr* *flicks a few more pages* Hey it says here, tabulated values may be found in this other book... I GOTTA GO TO THE LIBRARY AGAIN?!?! *tears hair out*

>_< It'd be okay if I live close to the library but noooo.... on a good day, it still takes me 45 min to get there X_x

So the question is, should I go again now, or should I go tomorrow? -_-" There's no guarentee that the book will be useful, but it's likely to be, even though the edition they have is an older one than the one recommended.

ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

(and oh, I don't think anyone would know this, but how do I decide if I should add a backdrop manhole or not, if I know the flow rate, velocity, gradient of pipe and invert levels of the holes?)
