MY JOB IS SAFE.

I have mixed feelings about this. But I guess I should be happy overall, because I'll be in better control of things. If I decide to leave this job later, it'd be up to me to choose a time, rather than being thrown out the door!

I'm glad for you. I hope it won't be too difficult dealing with the loss of people you know at work. I've watched my department go from 40 people to 3 in the last 15 years. It's never a pleasant thing.

Take it from someone who has been unemployed for nearly 3 years, this is great news. Yes, it may be a sucky job but at least you have one so Congrats!! *hugs*.

Its much better to have control over it. That way you can look for another one at your own pace and therefore find something you really like ;)
