After this weekend, I will learn to dance. (Somehow.)

Got my eyebrows threaded and earlobes pierced. :) The guy who did the piercings was kinda hot. And very very nice.

Wig still stuck in the mail. Nowhere in town (three party/joke shops + endless hairdressers) do they sell white wigs. How come? I thought it'd be popular for Halloween! I've decided to just put baby powder on my blonde hair and then unload a can of hairspray onto it. Actually that's what my hair is like right now because I'm testing the result. XD It looks all right.

BTW [livejournal.com profile] storme~ I got a message from Cosplay Ball organisers through Facebook. *C&P*

The set dances for this year's ball have finally been announced. The dance schedule will be: Foxtrot, Waltz, Polka, Jive, Midnight Waltz and the Last Dance.

For those of you familiar with balroom dancing, the foxtrot and waltz will be a Slow Foxtrot and Slow Waltz, and the Polka is a French Polka. In other words, the dances won't be too fast so they will be easy for beginners.

The ever-popular Midnight Waltz is back, where you must ask a stranger to dance! We know of several friendships and happy relationships which started because of last year's Midnight Waltz!

As before, the Last Dance will be a romantic free dance.

We look forward to seeing everyone at The Grand International Cosplay Ball on November 29th at the Clapham Grand, London!

We can be can't-dance together. XD

Hey, nice! I have seen other people dance waltzes and foxtrots and they look like pretty dances. :)

(Bah on the wig situation.)

The only dances I've seen are glimpses of stuff on TV~ gotta research. XD

(Ah well. Maybe I'll do a more proper Soldier Blue next time. But I'll wear the costume on Saturday anyway for a bit of fun. ^^)

Yeah, my entire knowledge is based on having gotten hooked on Strictly Come Dancing a few years ago (for, um, two series). :) Jive is also very pretty but insanely hard-looking, and I have no idea how one dances a polka except by doing folk dances.

(I hope there'll be photos. I will certainly take some of you on Sunday. :) )

Eyebrow threading made me whimper like a little girl. XD I bet you weren't as wussy as me. Come to that, I had my ears pierced once too, but when it came to change the earrings I was too squeamish to put new ones in. *shudder*

Apparently it varies from person to person! Some people are just more sensitive in the facial areas. When I get my eyebrows threaded (or when I pluck them) I usually just want to sneeze. XDDDD (My sister says she's the same!)

I have a bronze medal in ballroom dancing from when I was around 12. Think I had to do old time Waltz, Valeta and Boston 2 Step. Would be v v v v hard pushed to remember them now! Keigo of course dances beautifully...

Whoa! They tried to teach us ballroom dancing in boarding school, but the attempt was half hearted and the students even more half hearted...
