Ok suddenly my Norton decides to delete every message that LJ is sending me.

Which means if you replied to me, I probably didn't realise, which is why I may owe you reply.

Can someone tell me how to set the Symantec email proxy to allow LJ emails through?

[edit: hmm after rebooting things seems to be okay again...]

As far as I know, you can't. You can set the program itself to 'ignore' certain file types to check, but that would defy the purpose. If you set .email ( example ) as an exclusion not to be checked, no email would be checked.
