yes. it is the law of kibble any person who is static for any period of time will generate a finite amount of crap at an exponential rate that will not be noticed until said person moves. It's the reason everyone went offworld in Do androids dream of electric sheep.
We seem to have that problem too :D; We got rid of so much stuff, yet the house has more stuff in it than it did @_@ (probably because we gave up the garage to my brother & his wife >>)
